I think I can say with some certainty that we're all excited to have an official representative of Mega Brands Inc. as a member of The Bloks Forum!
I sent Carine a PM to see how she'd feel about a thread specifically intended for our questions, and she thought it would be a good idea. Isolating questions in one thread will make it easier for her to find them, and it will keep our other threads from getting bogged down with our curiosity. I will keep this thread "stickied" for a while so that it's easy for everyone to find.
We're a very polite and considerate bunch here, but given this new development it might be useful to establish a few ground rules:
1. The thread is intended for questions to Mega Brands Inc. If you have questions or suggestions about the thread itself, please PM me. However, posting to say "Thank you, Carine" is fine.
2. Keep our expectations simple: Carine isn't here to answer our every whim! Don't post more than one or two questions at a time, and steer clear of questions that would require a lengthy essay-style answer.
3. Don't issue any demands or ultimatums: We all have strong feelings about this or that aspect of Mega Brands products, but this isn't the place to air them. Feel free to post rants and diatribes in other threads (goodness knows that I've posted a few now and again!)
4. Respect her obligations: As an official representative of Mega Brands, Inc., Carine may not be able to talk about certain subjects, especially those that pertain to future product lines.
5. Information is given at her discretion and is subject to change: If Carine says that she can't answer, then we'll accept that. Also, her answers do not constitute any obligation or any guarantee of future policies of Mega Brands, Inc.
6. There is no rule 6
7. No badgering! Don't post the same question more than once, and don't ask her why she didn't answer a particular inquiry.
8. This is not the place for comments about past, present, or future business decisions by Mega Brands, Inc.: But by all means feel free to post these in other threads!
9. Posts that violate the above rules will likely be deleted, if only to keep the thread from getting cluttered.
Pretty simple, I think. For the first time we have a great opportunity to speak directly to Mega Brands, Inc., and I'm very eager to see what can learn.

I'll start with a fairly simple question:
Carine, can you tell us anything about the ProBuilder Carbon product line previewed at the 2009 ToyFair? ProBuilder has always been my favorite series, so I'm very interested to see what might be on the horizon and when we might see it.
Thanks for any info you can provide!

Hi Schuler,
Thanks for creating a separate thread for MEGA!
Probuilder Carbon Series will be in stores (Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us, Zellers, Argos among others) as early as July. There are 7 items in the series - see below for images of the entire line.
Thanks!
Carine

Oooh.
These cut strait to the same part of the brain that made me love Knight Rider, Street Hawk and Airwolf. That self inulgent small boy 'black super vehicles are cool' part.
Plenty of black and grey for the moc-ers (where the big battleships always did well).
Annoyingly one pic is missing for me :@S.
I can actually see myself considering the new Night-Copter, Wave Racer and the hydraesque helicopter.
Hope they land in blighty soon.
Thanks for the pics Carine
Mark

Thanks, Carine! Mark made a great point about the colors, and I concur. I'm also delighted to see the translucent-orange elements, especially the "classic" canopies on the Assault Chopper. Very cool!
My local Wal*Mart has been infuriating in its absence of Micro-scale Mega Bloks products, but I'm hopeful that they'll get these in stock. Of course, there's a Toys R Us not too far from here, so I could probably be persuaded to make the trip...
Thanks again!

Ok I'll throw one in.
Regarding the 9545 Fyreskiff Warship.
It seems to have been around in Australia for a while but I've never cought sight of it in the UK or in any US shops that'll deliver overseas.
Now the Dragons line has moved on to the newer different figures is it possible (or probable) this boat'll never make it to the UK?
Love to know anything you can offer on it.
Many thanks in advance
Mark

I wouldn't mind learning that myself. I still have to pick up the Ice Vorgan ship; and that Fyren one would compliment my fleet quite nicely.

The Dragons line was phased out a while ago but we still create special sets for specific retailers worldwide. I'll investigate internally about the Fyreskiff Warship and let you guys know.
We are actually working on a brand new line that will be the evolution of our old Dragons sets - I have seen pictures of first shot protos and they look absolutely incredible! The line will launch in 2010 - unfortunately, I can't provide any more details about it since I've been sworn to secrecy but will let you in on it as soon as I'm allowed.

So long as the figures look like old-school Dragons or based on Pirates - as opposed to the awkward Plasma Dragons figures - I'll be happy!

*Watches and waits with interest for new Dragons sets - hoping for old-school minifigs*
Thank you, as ever, for the answers Carine.

Are you at liberty to talk about any other retailer-specific sets currently on the market?
Thanks!

The only question I have is do you know who got all of the stock of the second wave of LoKA two-packs! Since they never seemed to hit stores in any quantity, is there a retailer sitting on a cache of them?

QUESTIONS FOR CARINE
Hi Carine!
There are 4 new Neo Shifters on the website for a few months now. Are they in American stores yet, when/where?
Also, there are 6 new PlasmaTech figures to be released as "NeoTroopers". When/where are they to be released, if not already?
thanks Carine

The new sets look very fine, indeed! Excellent color choices too!
My one request to MB would be for certain elements on demand (ala pick a brick from lego). At the same time I recognize that I am not likely to get the elements I would want anyway. Still, I can dream...
The main reason I have purchased MB sets is because of unique elements that were compatible with Lego bricks but made only by MB. Once MB quality control had become acceptable the sets were an especially good value because of both individual elements and overall set design. The individual element designs were worth it regardless. MB elements truly *MAKE* my collection.
If I had a second request it would be for a return to the Blok Bots or Warriors Night Force type mecha sets. I truly loved those set designs and I think that many of us here consider them the highest quality designs MB has ever produced.
Thanks!
