First, I wasn't all that sure that I should even post this until I got some better photos together. The lighting was horrible and it would appear the focus on my camera was atrocious. So I apologize in advance for the quality of these images. I will strive to provide better images within the next week or so. That said:

I have been working on this for some time. I was introduced to the plate that forms the 1st floor and roof sections by Brian Lytle (Facebook) along with those fabulous cracked windows. And thus the wheels started turning. About $200 later I have amassed quite a lot of old Command Ops sets and even one of the Plasmaverse Spider Wars sets the plate came from.

Some images of the structure:

There are some cookies in the photos. I am curious with the poor quality if anyone can find them.

Of course one of the problems with such grainy images is the lack of detail to accent the effort I put into this. Here are a few close-ups of some of my favorite innovations:

1. The ground floor supply cache:

There are more than enough fusion coils in this building to send the entire thing into orbit if they were set off. But hey, these power the UNSC military engine and have to be stored somewhere...

2. I-beams:

I used i-beams within the support pillars on all four corners of the building. Although this required a lot of 1x2 gray stone bricks to enclose them the effect is quite nice once one removes bricks to simulate damage.

3. Roof access ladder:

Using the items provided in a couple of Spiderman sets along with some modified (one significantly) angled bricks I managed to attached a ladder to the side of the building.

4. Fractured window:

One of the Command Ops sets came with a cracked plate glass window with a stupid red X painted across it. I was unable to remove the X but wanted to use the window anyway so I committed a bit of a sin and modified the piece, seperating it into two shattered portions and placing it within one of the sills. I think it turned out quite nice and adds some variety to an all or nothing window option.

Hopefully you enjoy these rather poor images.

Love it! The broken window is a perfect addition. Glad to see you making good use of all those parts Smiley

That looks so cool. If Mega sold this, I'd buy it (I feel like I say this on all your creations!). Really excellent work for the whole thing. The rubble effect and overgrown look is very believable.

Is that a gold skull I see? (Photo #6)

You're the first (here on the forum) to comment on one of the Easter Eggs. Yes, that is indeed a gold skull. There is another Easter Egg as well that I seriously doubt anyone will find. I can barely see it and I know it's there.

And no, it isn't the laptops, the dish, or the couple of weapons scattered about. Think hairy and scary... (no, not the Gibbon)

Well, after putting my eyes right up next to my laptop screen and examining each picture for other easter eggs, I can't find it. I got my eyes tested a while ago, and the man said they were above average... HE MUST HAVE LIED TO ME! Smiley

But, it did show me just how much detail is in this diorama. The way you wrapped the bricks around the ODST Ambush beams is awesome.

Will have to keep an eye out for Command Ops things on eBay, because there's some sweet pieces in there.

Nope. Nice guess, but that is a new detailed SMG behind that row of sandbags. I seriously doubt that the quality of these photos will allow one to see the spider that's hiding right in the front of the structure, photo #6. In the shadow just to the right of the i-beam and just above the rubble at the corner of the structure. You can just make out his abdomen if you look really close. This photo should help:

Ug... the quality of these images is utter crap.

I really like it. I thought about doing some of the same techniques such as the beam with bricks around it.

You've got the mogatu? I thought that was settled already... Smiley
Glad to see the 'foundation' is coming along strongly...
Anyway great job bud, can't wait to see it once more parts arrive!
(though once the bill is settled I have to admit I think Nathaniel's $300 scarab may be the better deal Smiley )

P.S. Is the cookie that there's an audio file hidden somewhere? I don't see any flashing lights... Smiley
