Another quick review with a few pictures of the Covenant Drop Pod: Elite Ultra 96928. Here we go...
Box with Armory deco.
Once unpackaged, this is what you get. The painted weapons are a definite plus; the Energy sword is a beautiful deep purple.
This is my first Ultra and I am very impressed. The only reused molds are the lower arms and legs; everything else is all new. I don't have the Revenant version so I can't do a color comparison . Did I mention how impressed I am?
Very detailed and great looking pod.
The extra Armory parts store on the inside of the door; all this needs is some spare legs(and paint) and you have another complete figure.
This is a very cool addition to the Covie ranks, another multiple purchase item for sure.

Just got two of these in the mail, and I have to say I am very impressed as well. My only problem with the Ultra is that the "prongs" are slightly bent out of shape on both the helmets. This is also the case for both of my Revenant Ultras. Perhaps MB should reconsider using such soft plastics.
Another friggin' awesome Elite Drop Pod. This one and the golden Zealot are just knockin' the ball out of the park. Amazing, I can't wait to own a couple of these guys.
Wish that there was another/non-rare source for silver/gray Elite legs though

I've recently located this set as well and I simply cannot say enough good things about this set. I loved the Elite Ultra mold that came with the Revenant and the recoloring of the fig for this Drop Pod is just superb!
If there was one thing I would find fault with it is with the excessive use of the Needle Rifle in this wave of sets. It is a superb weapon though and infinitely preferrable to say, a Plasma Pistol or a Beam Rifle. But other than this, buy a bunch, the set is well worth it.
