Microsoft announced a live action series for Halo 4 coming this Fall before the release to bridge the gap between three and four. Five 15 minute episodes will be airing or in other words, 1 hour and 15 minutes of live action goodness.

Superb article on what a mess it was. MS was used to having everything their way and they were sent packing by a movie industry that pretty much joined ranks and gave them the bird. MS either needs to start their own movie machine (which isn't a bad idea if they could actually make money pretty consistently by making video game based movies) or else learn to negotiate (which requires some give).

A man-portable MAC weapon, Eh? Wonderful! This beats the pants off the Spartan Laser. At least for me, I suck at that big green beast! Unless its a Wraith, I ain't hittin' it.
I'm gonna miss the splazer. Aside from its awesomeness at killing just about anything, it was also a continuing source of hilarity - the darnedest things can happen when people mis-time their charge-up and shot.
So it's a smaller-cased Splazer with a different ordinance-type? Guess that'll put a kink in the laser FX on my photos...
Although it looks cool (aesthetically better than the splazer IMHO) I'd prefer to see both weapons back in game. Maybe speed up the laser charge for anti-personnel attacks and leave this for armor. But I don't work for 343...so I guess I'll just have to make-do.
