I always thought the UNSC ships looked like giant guns. Now that giant gun looks like a UNSC ship. My head hurts.
I thought the same thing at first glimpse. Just thought that was really funny. I'm carrying a mini-destroyer!!!!

Interesting how the linked article notes that:
"Misriah Armory has been very busy."
But the Railgun isn't a Misriah Armory creation. Their own article notes that it is manufactured by Acheron Security. Aside from such quibbles I am all for a replacement for the Splazer. I personally detest that weapon.

I'll be interested in how they're going to explain all the new and updated weaponry in H4. When the Forward Unto Dawn went to the Ark, it was loaded up with the "previous generation" of Misriah weapons. And yet, somehow, MC gets his hands on these new toys as soon as he pops out of cryosleep, on that same ship.

That, and the armor change outta nowhere.
I assume MC reunites with the UNSC to get the new goodies. The armour... Lots things that could have happened, like he made ajustments before you see him in H4.

Do you mind removing that picture and linking it, HUGE spoiler there. I feel really sorry that this has happened to Mcfarlane, their ties with Microsoft might become extreamly restricted now.

Sorry, I was really excited to speculate.

I probably would have done the same were I to have discovered this first.
I do feel bad for Mcfarlane as well, I'm sure this has severely damaged their relationship to the makers of the game. Ah well. Interesting find however.

I'm not sure if McFarlane would be the ones responsible though. This figures aren't supposed to be released yet, but someone has some, and ended up spoiling it for the rest of us. I'm just glad it didn't spoil any of the story.

Its fully Mcfarlanes responsibility. They have agreements with Microsft to get an advanced look allowing them to have product available for the game launch in exchange for keeping it under wraps. Mcfarlane obviously doesn't have a firm grip over their factory employees with such a major leak like this. The new enemy faction was going to be the big secret like the Flood was in the first game and I'm sure Microsofts abvertisement campaign will be focused on it.

Wii, don't forget this stuff is made in China. Who's to say it wasn't a Chinese worker that posted the image. McFarlane has NO control of that. In fact nearly all U.S. manufacturers that have plants in China are not able to regulate or control how the products are made there, as well as the quality control of their products. Yes, they have some input of course. But keeping something like this a secret (a figure cardback)?
I don't see this as McF's fault at all. The first wave wasn't a spoiler really as we already know of those characters. Two of the four from the second wave weren't spoilers either. The other two...well, as I mentioned on another forum, I suspect 343 won't say anything. They seem to like to keep people in the dark as much as they can to build up hype. So by not saying anything about these figures, it gives fans room to speculate. That helps keep the excitement up and keeps word of mouth going.
We only need look back at Mega as well. Some of their stuff was leaked in that catalog awhile back. It didn't hurt them.
Heck, toy info gets leaked all the time. I can't tell you how many times I've see Star Wars figures in pics long before the "official" release of images occurs. It happens.
Leaks like this aren't uncommon in the film industry, there's probably insurance and or policies in place that cover such illegal acts. This was theft from the factory and thus being so McF isn't at fault.
