Here is my longnose dora fw 190 D-9 defence of the Reich moc

Base was the Priller fw 190 A-8, a mustang and other parts

Decals are a mix of waterslide-decals and stickers

Did some measurements and he became 1/32,8 so about the same scale as the rest

Drawing/ plastic model;

My cobi moc;

Thanks! Did a small modification on the MG131 machine gun cover panels on the nose. Made a more fluid look in sideview and changed the coloring scheme. You can see that air intake better in this picture also

I'm perplexed, the part front the cockpit could be done better.
it's too much large.

Incalcatore, Do you mean the total length of the nose or that higher bulb in front of the cockpit what supposed to be the machinegun cover hood?

Hmmm... I think your right there Smiley

Changed it in 2x4 slant rounded tile (mustang's top-end fuselage parts, mustang is still comin' in handy...)

It's more flat now and has two seperate bulbs, like the original D-9.
It looks smaller now too, I reccon Smiley

Here's my new attempt; (don't mind the wing witch is hanging loose on the photo's.... :-/ )

Also working on the side fuselage slant 2x3 tile to make it bigger with an extra slant 1x3 tile below it, so i can use a bigger yellow nr 2, in the right size. I'll try it on the me 109 also, cause that single 2x3 slant tile is always to small for the placing of the apropriate decals

More better now.

I received my fw 190 magazine too and already modified, but my moc is very simple this time.

Still wasn't satisfied with the Dora so here are some more modifications. It's becoming a real moc-deluxe. It is a total rebuild from the original cobi A8 by now, almost nothing is the same;

-Changed the sloped tiles at the middle fuselage so you can add bigger decals (was a tough nut to crack btw, it was a building-strongpoint which i had to adjust.)

-Changed the wing form where it meets the fuselage in a much more fluid/realistic shape

-Changed the exausts, had to be longer. Made the background in black, as seen on originals

-Changed the armament; D-9 had 2x MG 131 in the nose and 2x MG151 in the wing (not 4x)

-Changed the top of the MG131 nose cover to make it more in one piece. Made the only custom part in this moc for this. Had to adjust that 1x5 green tile a bit for a tight fit, so i filled it off at the back.

-Made the backside of the wing in one piece, so no undercarriage bay here. For display i think this is much better. You can attach the wheel gear loose on it when you display it in that way. Then you can place that gear also more to the front as it is supposed to be.

Changed the pilot's armor plate behind his head;

This is how it looks in total;
