COBI will be releasing their first French WW2 tank, the "Somua S35 Char 1935S" as set number 2493 (450 pieces, 2 figures).

So it seems the WW2 tank line hasn't reached it's end yet :-)

Well that's interesting.

I wonder if it'll be constructed to reflect that weird horizontal stripe camouflage the French used from time to time. Hopefully this is an indication that we'll get a few more of the less-well-known tanks this year. Perhaps even some of those Italian oddballs.

Here the official schedule:

http://cobi.pl/zabawki/klocki/mala-armia-ww2/somua-s-35-char-1935s----francuski-czolg-sredni,art,9506.html

Well, I'm not so satisfied, there's more to change, the cobi model is too much short and this give the tank tha "fat" view, like happened with other tanks (panzer, stug, jagdpanzer....)

The color choice isn't good, that red-brows is heavy....a combo green-tan was more, more better.

Look the jagdpanzer IV after my modifies:

Interresting modification. The reduced width and the smaller tracks make the whole thing a lot flatter and give the tank an overall more realistic sized look. Good work!

So last night I had my first real difficulty with a Cobi set trying to build the Jagdtiger. The angled hull sides are held on by those hinged plates where one flap is roughly 4x4 and the other is a 1x4 with teeth. The chunk of angled hull attaches to the thinner portion which gives it the needed angle. Unfortunately, if this bit comes off, it's nearly impossible to reattach if the upper casemate and upper-hull tiles are in place. So for what looks like a simple reattachment job you need to remove essentially the entire top of the vehicle. It's impossible otherwise due to the pressure that is needed to seat the parts pushing the hinged flaps away from the parts they need to attach to.

To add insult to injury, the clutch on the bricks was somewhat off, so when I would manage to get the right side armor back on, a few seconds later it would come flying off as if it were a spring-loaded battle-damage action feature.

Finally, after messing with the parts for about an hour I went Full Costanza.

That's when I went to get the super glue. So those hull sides are never coming off of there again.

Anyone else had this issue?

Nope, can't say I had.

I agree that you would have to disassemble quite a bit to re-attach the parts if they come off, but fortunately mine never did that, and they are attached without any tension, so they stay firmly in place once properly attached.

Wow to the 2017 line-up, but still no Me 262 Smiley .
I had the tension issue on parts of the hinges of the rear end of the opel blitz. There has been a slight dimension difference to the attached other parts so they snaped off without touching. Smiley

Hello,

I build the T34-85 Rudy (a very fine model) and noticed a damaged part on the rear left (sloped brick 1x2) but then I saw that exactly these imperfections are shown in the instructions.
Anyone know the TV-series if there is this damage on the tank?
