For me it was probably Tuesday or Wednesday while at work when I was looking at the site on my phone.

Okay, ran into a bunch of these warnings today for the first time, both on my Android phone at home and my computer at work running IE.

Still waiting to hear from the Hyperboards powers-that-be, and I'll let you know what they come up with.

I'm going to put the site into "members only" mode for a few days to see if that helps. Members will still be able to access and interact with the forum normally, but I'd like to see if it limits whatever's causing the problem.

Let me know if you see a difference.

I'm still getting pop-ups.

Dammit. Try clearing your cache.

And then, um, try switching your laundry detergent.

Or something.

For some reason, I think I should save my game in a brand new slot.

Hrrrm. Clearing cache and cookies doesn't help in Android Chrome anyways...

A few tests:

1) Cleared cache in Chrome (Mac) - still get pop-ups
2) Safari - got pop-ups
3) Firefox (that I never used, and have never logged into bloks forums), got a pop-up before I could log in.

Welp, Firefox with Adblock Plus at least seems okay. No hint of a popup with that.

For the record, both The Bloks Forum and the Hegemon, must advise that the use of ad-blocking apps is prohibited by the over-arching Hyperboards Terms of Use.

However, I'm told that such applications might serve to reduce the impact of these pop-ups. Of course I haven't experimented with them, and I can't endorse them, but I thought that I'd mention it in the spirit of open communication.

As a side note I've had five spam popups in five minutes with Chrome on my phone. Fun.

Seems to have fixed the problem for me(Chrome). Either that or the Hyperboards folks fixed it and are getting ready to email you back saying, "Nope, not caused by anything on our end." Smiley
