http://www.gamespot.com/events/pax2011/video.html?sid=6331159&category=highlight I hate to be a bother but does this mean you'll be able to get the Warthog in Forza 4? My computer is too slow for videos...

As far as I'm aware it's only viewable in the garage or whatever. You can't actually drive it.

This begs the question, why have it at all. Actual warthog races would be pretty sweet.

Plus having a Warthog on the racetrack wouldn't be all that fair now would it? What good is having a track if you can just ram through the barriers between the corners, or shoot out your opponent's tires.

Right, but what if EVERYONE has a warthog? It would be like a Halo-themed take on Twisted Metal. I'd play that.

They already have that type of game, it's called Halo.

VGA 2011 starts in less than 20 minutes, we might get our first trailer.

I didn't see any, so I don't think one was ready. However, I went crazy when I saw the trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cyberton.

On the hardware forums rumor has it that the newest edition of the xbox 360 will be required to play the latest fall games ( including halo 4) at their full potential. While this new system has not been announced yet it is basically a Turbo (faster chip)xbox 360 with upgraded kinect built into the system. While this console is not a new next gen console it will be a step up in performance. The Hardware forums have been following the orders being placed for an upgraded processor chip by Microsoft and expect that the console will be announced at E3 with the sale beginning in the fall. This being said I would expect to pay $400 for this new console if you want the full Halo4 experience.

This being said I would expect to pay $400 for this new console if you want the full Halo4 experience. Doubtful. If you remember, the 360 Slim actually runs on a different chip than the original 360; this could be a similar update of existing hardware, with no significant changes from the gamer's perspective. It would be a dumb financial move on MS's part to create an "upgraded" 360, considering that they're planning to announce their ACTUAL next-gen console fairly soon. Console users won't want to buy hardware they know will be outdated in less than a year. That's the PC's turf .
EDIT: My statement, of course, assumes that the rumors you've mentioned aren't about MS's next real console. If they are, then you may be right. Something tells me the consumer base won't be happy if that's the case, though. Having to pay for kinect and a half-assed upgrade sure would wee-wee me off. « Last Modified by Foobarillo Dec 11th, 2011 at 08:15 pm » |
